It’s been a month off my schedule but I am finally getting back into the groove of things. November was a real tricky month for me. The first 2 weeks I went to the gym but I never went on a consistent basis. I also stopped walking/running in the morning and I was focused on upping my caloric intake. Then for the last 2 weeks, I went to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. There I pretty much did nothing and just ate. With no consistent exercise and eating more I knew for sure I gained weight.
But when I finally weighed myself in the beginning of December, I was shocked to find out I gained 25 pounds from my last weigh-in since the beginning of November. I knew from there I had to get back to basics. I started doing my morning runs again and dropped my caloric intake. I did decide to continue to focus on eating more protein, doubling up my protein shakes and continue eating almonds and peanuts. But I stopped eating carbs and went back to mainly eating fruits and salads for dinner.
So I was not too shocked when I weighed myself recently and saw I shed 20 pounds off. I knew once I got back into my routine that I would get back down to my new normal weight. Moving forward I will continue to eat the same but slowly introducing more protein into my diet. I will give my body time to adjust to my new weight and then I will look to see if I can start to bulk up. Until then I will continue to do what got me here.
