Week 5: 2/11/18 – 2/18/18

This week was a bad week to say the least. I started off great on Sunday and Monday. I watched what I ate both days consuming mostly vegetables and fruits. I was proud of how focused I was on my diet. I also worked out making sure I got in my physical activity. But then I fell off badly.

It began Wednesday when my office brought in food for breakfast and lunch celebrating Valentine’s Day. I ate a bagel for breakfast but for lunch I had pizza, salad, chicken along with chips and dip. Then to top it off I was eating brownies and chocolates for snacks. Then we had leftovers the very next day so eating the same junk twice in one week makes it even worse. I pretty much saw the writing on the wall by Friday. Don’t ask me about what I had for dinner as well, just know what I ate sure didn’t help either.

Even though I fell off I did notice that I do not eat as much as I used to. I still keep in mind about my diet and that usually curbs my cravings. I also realize I have a hard time trying to keep up with my morning routine, which entails exercising (stretching, push-ups and sit-ups), listening to uplifting songs and reciting my goals and aspirations. It’s almost as if I lose motivation and when I start off the day unmotivated that is when the day is usually lost for me.

Moving forward, I WILL put all of my energy to following my morning routine. I also WILL keep my motivation to continue to work hard on this journey. I know what your thinking, how can I preach about motivation when I lose it. All I can say is “I’m human” (shrugs) but that is what makes this website so authentic.
