For most of my life I have been overweight. I wasn’t a fat baby, and as a toddler I was skinny. For the better of my earlier years I was normal size with my peers. It was not until I reached the age of 8, I became fat. Do I know why, no (That is 18 years ago, c’mon), but from then on I was overweight.
I was not obese, I did not have heart problems or medical issues, but I was just fat. I could still play sports and was active in gym class but my diet was really poor. It was this way from elementary school, middle school, and high school.
It was not until college that I actually made serious attempts to get fit. I remember for the first half of the spring semester of my freshman year (Age 18) I developed a serious gym regime, spending a hour a day at the gym for at least 4 days a week. However, my school work started to pile up on me and I fell off.
Then came fall of my junior year (Age 20) I was really serious this time and I mean really serious. I lost 62 pounds in a short time. You should have seen the face on me when the doctor weighed me and said I was 186. It was a real accomplishment and I felt really proud of myself. But then I fell off really bad again.
Then came when I was one year removed from college (Age 22), I had the luxury of working close to a UFC gym. I finally decided one day to sign up and for a good 4 months I consistently went to the gym. I mean if it was a good week I was there every single day working out. These were boxing and kick-boxing workouts so they were intense. Within 4 months I lost 50 lbs. But then… yup you guessed it…I fell off again.
4 Years later, with little to none exercising on a consistent basis, I am here to change my life around. After looking the scale and see I weigh 298.2 pounds (I really let myself go CHRIST), I know I have to be serious about getting healthy. This time I am serious because I am letting you watch me as I get fit and healthy. You will see the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the good and bad, the ugly and uglier lol.
I plan to give you weekly updates showing what I ate, exercises I done, and weekly journal entries given you a more in-depth look at myself. I don’t only want to you watch but also give advice and even you are generous, offer your help. Nobody can finish obstacles in their life using their One’s Own Will without a strong support system. With that said… WITNESS MY JOURNEY INTO FITNESS.
