I came into 2024 with the same hunger I had last year and I am already off to a good start. I actually didn’t think I will going to lose 9 pounds off rip. My diet was bad during the Holiday season and I guess the sudden switch to less sugary snacks helped with the fat burning. Before I was trying to race to get to the 170 pounds range but now I am looking to take my time so when it’s time to switch my diet again my body won’t just balloon up.
I have began having much more protein in my diet in general. From peanuts, protein bars, oatmeal and doubling up on my protein shakes, I want to be able to make an easy transition to bulking when that time comes. I am also starting to eat more cooked meals again going from 1 time a week to 2 or 3 times a week. I feel my body getting used to my current body weight but I know that it will still take time to adjust.
This year will absolutely be more of the same for me but I plan on expanding my knowledge of nutrition and training. Often times I feel like I am just doing something because I was told to do it and not really understand why I need to do it. This will be crucial for in the future especially so I can keep up with staying active and healthy in general. I still see myself as a student of the game willing to learn what it takes to be great.
