The Comeback: The Lightest I Have Weighed

When I looked at the scale today, I was proud to see that I am officially the lightest I have ever weighed in my adult life. The last time I was in the 180s was my Junior year back in college. To know all of the hard work I have put in comes with amazing results is truly motivating for myself. It lets me know that my potential is truly limitless. It lets me know that EVERYBODY have unlimited potential if they focus on accomplishing their goals.

Heading toward losing these last 7 pounds, I am more dedicated than ever. I will treat this like I am back at the start of my journey. You have to keep that same hunger no matter what. It reminds me of a quote from Biggie Smalls that was the intro to Jay-Z’s “My 1st Song”. He said “The key to this joint- The key to staying on top of things is treat everything like it’s your first”. I have always listened to that lyric and understand it but it wasn’t until recently where I have internalized that quote. I always treat every workout like I am still trying to prove myself.

I am not willing to take the foot off the pedal when I reach my goal too. I have learned another key to staying consistent is to keep setting goals for yourself. Never be complacent with just achieving a title or accomplishing a goal. You can end up being lazy and losing that same mindset that makes you great. This way of thinking is exactly what made greats like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant so legendary.

I want to be legendary as well. I have said a while ago that I am not looking to be mediocre, that I am looking to be GREAT. Well being great is having the right mindset and ridiculous discipline to accomplish the goals that you have for yourself. I want this journey to be the start of that. When it is all said and done, the name Will Douglas will be echoed along with the names of other greats.

I hope it doesn’t sound like I am showing off or being cocky. It just took me a while to reach this level of confidence I have within myself. I had to go through my own trials and tribulations to become the man I am today and I will hold my head up high and bring the world with me through my journey. That is another reason I make these posts. I want you to read my posts, look at my content and hope it inspire you to be legendary too.
