Week 2: 1/22/18 – 1/28/18

The second week of my journey was interesting to say the least. To start off, I decided to start implementing daily  exercises into my routine but that stopped immediately after doing 25 push-ups and 25 sit-ups one morning. Afterwards my entire upper body was sore for the entire week. I also played basketball this week, played around 15 minutes of it during an intramural league and I actually felt good. I was not gassed nor was I tired afterwards like last week. Having that feeling made me feel like, once I get into the routine of doing push-ups and sit-ups daily I will be good and my body will not be so sore.

My diet this week was terrible. I had entirely too many fried foods for dinner. Eating well for breakfast and lunch can be overthrown if I eat bad food for dinner. I also decided to start showing my nutrition reports every week to show how I am eating. I get it from www.mynetdiary.com. I use their app MyNetDiary to note the food I eat throughout the day and it gives me detailed analysis on what I should eat more or less of, as well as I how much exercise I should get in per day. If you are looking to lose weight, I think MyNetDiary is the perfect app to use to not only check on yourself but to plan out on how to lose weight correctly.

Needless to say, I was disappointed when I saw I gained 1.4 lbs from last week. However, this is the whole point of Witness My Journey Into Fitness. It is to show my mistakes, learn from them and move forward to make better decisions, just like in life. Please feel free to comment on any advice or tips for what I should be doing better at or just to show support.

1/22: 290.0 Lbs

1/28: 291.4 Lbs

Gained: 1.4 Lbs

  1. Do not be discouraged with the 1.4pd weight gain. I have faith next week you will lose that and more.
Keep striving to do your best.
God Bless you on your journey.

  2. Well I can say you’re definitely on the right track! Of course your body will be sore as you haven’t worked those muscles in quite some time. Continue to work through the soreness and tweak it as your muscles get used to certain exercises. I too used MyNetDiary for my food log. Also your weight will fluctuate naturally as you get accustomed to the changes in diet. I found that weighing myself at the same time (ie in the morning or at night) helped me keep better track but eventually I stopped being addicted to the scale and let my body do the talking. Great job keep it up!
