This week I learned the importance of routines and what kind of impact it can truly have on you. It was not a great week for me but the routines I kept up with helped me out a lot. During the week I usually eat a Strawberry Nutrigrain bar for breakfast. Then I eat an apple as a snack and for lunch all I eat is a whole wheat peanut butter sandwich. I also drink more than 9 cups of water a day. I believe this routine is the base of my diet and it helps me a lot when I go off it especially when it comes to dinner. Dinner time is usually when I fell off diet wise but I believe the routine I kept up with during the day helped me mentally in the amount of food I consumed during dinner.
The only day this week I caved in on my diet was Wednesday. On that day people at my job were celebrating their birthdays so they brought in breakfast and lunch for everyone. I ate a cream cheese bagel for breakfast, still had my apple and for lunch I ate 2 slices of pizza. Then I had a steak and rice bowl from Chipotle for dinner. I know this does not sound that bad but I also had an intramural basketball game that day and I was afraid I would be sluggish again. However, I played for more than half the game and I still felt fine afterwards. I believe that feeling also was guided by the fact I started to do 50 push-ups and 50 sit-ups everyday. 25 of each in the morning and 25 of each in the evening. I feel a little soreness that leaves my body everyday the more I get acclimated to physical activity.
One other thing that helped me during the week is me finding out about the app, Goggle Calendars. The reminders and everyday checklist has helped me a lot in me keeping up with my routines. I really recommend it if you have a lot on your plate everyday and you need reminders for tasks you need to complete. I plan on using it from now on so I can stay on top of my diet, water consumption, and exercising I need to do daily. Despite the setbacks I was surprised when I stepped on the scale and saw 286.2. I immediately knew my routines overpowered anytime I made mistakes diet wise during the week.
2/4/18: 288.2 lbs
2/11/18: 286.2 lbs
LOST: 2 lbs
